GAMES WORKSHOPS (6325 STUDENTS ONLY)
Students enrolled in 6325 will be responsible for publicly workshopping one of their games-in-progess once during the semester. This workshop will take up half of a class period. For 20-25 minutes, students will present one of their prototyped games to the class, talking through inspiration, goals, design decisions, play-testing, and future development for the game. PROTOTYPES
Throughout the semester, each student will produce 5 game prototypes in response to a provided prompt. Prototypes will be due every two weeks, and will be topically and formally constrained in some way. COMPLETE GAME PRODUCTION
During the final 3 weeks of the semester, class time will become lab time in support of students' full development of one of their prototyped games. This development will take place via Unity, and the lab-time in class will be given to dedicated development time, including Unity help and additional play-testing.
